Sign up for a Volunteer Workday:

Invasive Species Workdays

Invasive plant workdays are led by PHLT's Stewardship Manager Matt, and are a great way to learn about the impacts of invasive species, gain first-hand experience restoring our Pocono forest ecosystems, and discover cool plants, insects and other interesting finds along with way!

These workdays vary in intensity. Thickets of thorny shrubs can require heavy labor, shoveling, and chainsaw work; while pulling lighter invasives like garlic mustard and dame's rocket in spring feels more like easy gardening.

Details for each scheduled workday can be found in the calendar below.

Trail Crew Workdays

New in 2022 is PHLT's all-volunteer trail crew!

Led by a core group of dedicated Pocono Heritage Land Trust volunteers, the trail crew meets on the third Wednesday of each month (March through October) to spruce up a designated PHLT nature preserve.

Sign up for one of these workdays to clear and maintain new and existing trails, pick up litter, hang signs, and help out in keeping PHLT nature preserves accessible and looking their finest.

Can't make these dates? Sign up to receive updates about upcoming volunteer opportunities.

(for more infomation about each workday, see the bottom of this page)
