A native of NJ, Cathy relocated to the Poconos in 2013 in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. Cathy has an MS in mathematics, an MAS in Natural Resource Policy and Management, and an EdD in Higher Education Administration. She has been teaching for 40 years in the community college sector and enjoy helping underprepared students reach their college goals. She raises organic blackberries and purple asparagus in Effort, and stewards her land for conservation of wildlife, bees and endangered plants. Cathy serves on the boards of the BWA and Trout Unlimited, and volunteers for The Nature Conservancy, the Tannersville Cranberry Bog Committee, West End Parks and Recreation Association, and Penn State's Master Well Owner Network. She believes that the preservation of the natural landscape should be of the highest order of priority in today's rampant development world.
